Dear bettywales,

I understand that your Hep C treatment hasn't been successful this time, but no doubt you will be advised by your Consultant with regard to the possibility of having further treatment in the future.

I don't know if you are gentotype 1, but if you are, then there are some new treatments available. Please click on the following link:

Your GP/Consultant/hepatitis nurse, should have provided you with some advice and information, and I expect you will continue to have some regular blood tests.

I would be more than happy to offer some support to you, so please don't hesitate in contacting me on the Helpline number: 0800 652 7330.

All good wishes and kind regards,

Hi Bettywales,

I had an unsuccessful Hep C treatment last year and was a partial responder. I am currently undergoing a clinical trial.

Make sure you tell your doctor that you want to participate in the clinical trials that come up and take advantage of anything they offer you! The new treatments are extremely expensive so it will be a long time before they are offered by the NHS.

Hope this helps.
