Pneumonia

hi, my mum went into hospital on Saturday, she had to have emergency endoscopy and they put bands on 2 varicies. She is in the digestive disease unit now, and has got aspiration pneumonia, I think from the endoscopy. She has a decompensated liver and ascetites. She has been quite confused but seemed clearer in her thinking yesterday. She has sworn off alcohol, this has all been such a shock. Just wondered if anyone had been through similar so I know what to expect over the next few weeks. She’s 75. Hasn’t been in good health for a while. Thank you.
