wELL 3 WEEKS ON AND AT LAST APPT FOR SCAN ON WEDNESDAY PM. ITS TORTURE WAITING AND THEN HAVE TO SEE CONSULTANT NEXT WEEK. I CANNOT BEAR IT ANY LONGER WAITING. TO THINK A YEAR AGO TELLING DR THAT I HAD THIS PAIN AND ASKED IF WAS STRESSED. ONLY SEEING A NEW CONSULTANT THAT SHE REQUESTED YET ANOTHER U/SOUND (the one in October showed nothing.

I cannot sleep and all these thoughts. sorry to bombard you with this, but its letting off steam.

Daisy not too long to go now I am thinking of you. I am in Turkey at the moment. If you do not get a phone call the next day or two you can relax. Also ask them the results they see. Tell them how it is affecting you before they start the scan. They may not be able to tell you everything but push for it. Cyber hugs to you.xx

Thank you for your support which is very much appreciated. Are you allowed to see the scans? as when I went for CT he did not show, whereas other docs do. How is the weather in Turkey?

That is what I need sunshine

Take care

Hi daisy. I know what you mean about the waiting, Drives you nuts! Tatjana is right, if they see a definite HCC on the scan they will contact you pretty damn quick. I got a phone call as soon as the consultant radiographer had seen the scan and told my specialist.

I don't think the radiographers who do the scan will give you a diagnosis. As far as I'm aware from my own experience they are 'technicians' in a way, who know how to operate the machinery but its their job to pass the image on to a specialist radiographer (hopefully one like the one who interprets my MRI who is a liver and cancer specialist radiographer. So it may not be same day if they find something suspicious, but it should be quite soon.

That's not to say that if there is nothing to be worried about on the scan no news is good news. I would always press to get the results, good or bad. If you haven't heard anything almost straight away, then hang in there for the appointment with the consultant. Fingers crossed he will have the MRI results with him when you go next week.

Thinking of you, and hoping for good news.

Yes we all need some sun - awful cold wet windy weather here.

Hi you two (Daisy and Bolly) the weather in Turkey is hot - well anyway about 23 degrees and I went swimming in a hotel today, you just pay for a drink. I was the second person of the season and everyone (my friends) cannot understand how I could swim in such cold water (they only opened the pool yesterday) and I told them it is a case that sort of after 'going to hell and back' (op etc) that very cold water won't hurt me. I swam 16 lengths! Anyway, let's get back into the serious business Daisy it is Wednesday! I am thinking of you. I have a dongle on my computer and it is very temperamental but I got it going because I would not give in. Let's hope it works tomorrow so that I can hear your news. Cyber hugs to you both. xx

Hi hope you are enjoying your sunshine - well went for MRI and it lasted about 30 mins, holding breath etc, the radiographer kept on saying are you holding your breath, yes I said going blue in face, anyway finally done and as I was pulled away one of technicians said you are leaking, thinking it was me, but apparently the radiographer did not put the contrast container on properly, anyway asked her afterwards whether she got everything on film also I thought I do not want to wait for another if they do a repeat. Now is the waiting, I keep checking phones, I know its too soon, but you never know still torturous though. Last year kept saying how I was in pain but dismissed as IBS and I thought I am going to be on top of this, its my body and if I want to go up to London then I will. Just want the best.

Well sunshine is out but freezing, hopefully will warm up.

Take carex

Daisy, I now realise you are not in London. I hope they were pleasant. I remember mine. They were very friendly. Daisy the longer you do not hear from them the better the news but, if I were you (it is your body) I would maybe tomorrow Friday phone the consultant's who ordered the test secretary or email the consultant. Just say you are so worried that you can't eat or sleep etc. By very friendly. Put your hospital number on the email and also your diagnosis as a heading in bold.. It is the waiting but they are human and they will respond quickly. I know you are checking phones but the truth is if you hear nothing it is good. Just like Bolly says (it happened to me) but it also depends if your consultant is on duty that day or the next. Cyber hugs again. x

Hi daisy. Glad to hear the MRI is over and done with. I had that leaking problem too, the canula wasn't in right or something. Blood everywhere - bleuch! If you don't hear tomorrow you may just have to hold your breath (don't go blue though) over the weekend. Thinking of you, and hoping for good news.
