?Blood results

I have had 12 varied blood tests over the last 6 months and had 9 taken in one appt., which they lost the results, and I received no confirmation of any results, indeed had no communication at all even after having my regular 6 month scan. My Hepatologist said I have stage 4 fibrosis, but clearly stated I did not have cirrhosis, not yet, and it can be reversed which I find confusing. I was unfortunate enough to get Hepatitis A during covid, I also have NAFLD. I do not eat sweet or fatty foods, nor do I drink. I have tried to contact my hepatologist, but thus far had no reply. My question is, I would like to know which blood tests I could pay for privately to find out how bad my situation is. I have been reading about ELF, is this a better test to have than the standard LFT which I am due to have on the 1st July, and will probably not have the results. Is it a good sign that I have had no communication about my results? I feel very let down and alone.

Sorry to hear that. Are you unable to access your blood tests online? Definitely do your LFT’s and ask them if they can send you a copy of the results.

Thanks for your reply. I am unable to access blood test results, only order repeat scripts, it is so frustrating. I shall pay for the blood test, they state they always give a full written result and offer to post results to my GP.

That is too bad, it would be so frustrating. You certainly should not have to pay for blood tests….
