There’s your answer…you were drinking soon before the test! GGT is the most sensitive of all LFTs. It will rise in response to alcohol consumption, rich food or anything else that makes your liver work hard. Not sure why you were having LFTs…and it’s good that the rest were normal. Keep your alcohol levels within recommended limits and chances are your GGT will come down too.

Nobody dies from not drinking.

Looking at your older posts it means you either quit alcohol or there's a very high probability that your going to progress into full on cirrhosis.

I did the same, kept looking for excuses and giving myself permission to carry on drinking because "it won't happen to me", IT DID!

It's happening to you right now but you still have the chance to stop it

My GGT never rose dramatically. Its only one of the LFTs. I'm now almost 6 years post transplant and never had terrible LFTs but that's only one aspect of the condition.Incidently my brother had a GGT of over 1000 after a drinking binge. 6 weeks later after no alcohol it was down to normal.
