Lft test confusion

Hi, Not my test but my brothers for family court.He's passed all his hair tests and blood tests.

He's had issues with drink but has slowed down to mainly binge drinking for the last few years.

He last had spirits 3 weeks before the tests were taken, his cdt came back within range at 1.4 however his lft was reading out of range with ggt being 700, aspartate 56 and alanine 79 .. He's not unwell at all so we are all puzzled as to why his ggt is showing so high and the others 29 over being in range?

He's not on any medication or been ill either apart from taking a hit at Xmas in the boxing ring to his liver area where he suffered 2 cracked ribs also.

Any ideas?

The elevated results are all liver inflammation markers. If his alcohol cessation was only recent then bloods will take some time to settle. If he remains completely sober then the assault on the liver is halted any inflammation and eatly damage should pretty much heal.Liver disease can be pretty symptom free until the organ is very badly damaged.

Sorry,but he must stop drinking alcohol altogether. Forever Otherwise the future looks bleak.
