Low testosterone

I have low testosterone and I'm now on injections. I was feeling very terrible for months with no sex drive,no motivation, and low self-esteem which is not me. My blood work came back low in testosterone and I'm now on my second injection three weeks later. I'm still down in the dumps and see no changes. I think all this has came from the fact that my liver is bad from years of having hepatitis c. I had it treated four years ago but so much damage was already done. My fibrous scan came back at a 12.4 back before I was treated. Can I expect these injections to help me? Am I naive to think I will ever resume a normal healthy sex life again?
