Is it Ok to have a Cheat day on Birthday

Hi, My birthday is around the corner, we have a workplace party culture. I haven't shared about my liver health with them. I was wondering if I can cheat one day or not at all.

Cheat day as in food/booze? You've got fatty liver I recall but not yet any other formal diagnosis. At the end of the day it's your choice, your body, you liver. If you've been avoiding particularly rich/sweet food for a while the sudden hit might make you feel a bit rough.

Hi Katie, thanks for replying back. Yez you are right. There is no formal diagnosis except severe fatty liver. I don't drink or smoke.vi am pur vegetarian. I am not planning on eating sweets but I might have to take a very small piece of cake as they will bring it. As far as such goes, I can choose Mediterranean option but I am worried if it would affect badly.

A bit of cake is hardly a mega blowout - enjoy your special day. Life is still for living and a one off treat isn't going to kill you. If you'd been on about going on a huge drink fuelled bender then the story might be different.

My Auntie has fatty liver and had a cheat holiday. On return got back to sensible eating and no drinking. As previous it's up to you as your body. It may or may not make you suffer for it
