Tummy bug

I have what seems to be a tummy bug that has lasted longer than 24 hours.

I’m just a bit worried it might affect my health more as I have liver cirrhosis? Should I let my doctor know just incase .

my partner, was decompensated now compensated recently caught a nasty bug and had a very high temperature and I called his liver nurse for advice and she wasn’t worried based on the fact he was compensated. I think it probably depends on your overall health and if in doubt speak to a consultant or liver nurse.

If you are on any medications and unable to keep them down its advisable to seek medical advice. My husband was poorly recently - and it was a particular concern not to take his water tablets whilst dehydrated in case of causing kidney damage.Take care

I’ve had similar for a week, settling slowly and had my bloods etc done just yesterday. Doctor mentioned there is a lot of Gastro bugs at this time of the year and wasn’t worried as everything else checked out. Told me to avoid Imodium but when I get stomach cramps mainly at night I take 1 tablet of buscopan and that settles things down.
