how to deal with worry

Hi, awaiting an ultrasound as bloods are all excellent except for liver spike.

GP has reiterated that she is not worried about anything as bloods are so good, she’s just being thorough.

Why, when I’m normally level headed, am I struggling with worry?

Is the source of worry due to lifestyle choices (alcohol/food excess) or other?

No, lifestyle choices are good. I don’t drink or smoke and follow a healthy diet. I regularly exercise and am not overweight, I think it’s my age, making me feel more vulnerable.

Thank you, you too. I’m concentrating on living in the moment, whilst reminding myself that the GP has said not to worry.

Hi Ivy, we live in such uncertain times, I think it’s an accumulation and you’ve reached the tipping point of things you can deal with without worrying. Also there is an element of what you don’t know you won’t worry about, but with the internet we all know so much. Don’t beat yourself up about worrying, just acknowledge it when it happens and then turn your mind to something nice.
