Not sure what to do next

Hi everyone, I,ve been on the board for a while just trying to educate myself on liver disease. My story is like so many others. I had RUQ pain for over 30 years, eventually told it was gallstones. Got the gallbladder removed 2017, at this point my CRP level became raised 5 months later to 6. Fast forward to 2020 and my CRP remained at a steady level of around 10, then pain began RUQ radiating into my back. I went to the doctors to be checked as I drank at weekends and thought this may have caused liver disease. Had US and CT without contract and was told everything was fine and bloods were fine too, with the exception of the raised CRP. The pain remains when I eat anything, especially items high in sugar. Fast forward 2 years, had another US and now told slightly coursed echotexture. I,m now waiting for a second CT to be done. My question is, will this damage progress ? I have not drank alcohol since the pain began end of 2020 and does raised CRP indicate liver disease is ongoing?

Raised CRP is usually an indicator of infection but as yours isn't that high I wouldn't worry to much about that. It's good you have given up the drink, probably really helped x

Thanks Tizzwas, it's been raised since I got my gallbladder removed and hasn't gone down, this is why I think there is more going on as I didn't drink that much on a weekend to cause serious damage to my liver, stopping wasn't an issue either, so guess wait and see what the CT scan comes back with now, but would be great to get to the bottom of why the CRP is raised as I thought maybe it was a liver thing.
