Fluctuating Billirubin

Has anyone experienced a higher billirubin. My got way better to 19 but now at 28 again. I’ve been told this might be because my diuretic dose is high. 300mg spironalactone and 120mg fuerusamide?

Thanks.

Hi with things like these and you have concerns please contact your liver team or your doctor they are the only ones who can advise on medication. Good luck I hope all goes well.

28 is not that far outside of upper limit, so I agree with the above and run it passed your doc if you are concerned.

I have been rocking >650 since February, that is...uncomfortable

650! How are you coping with that? Thanks for advice

I'm not on any medication, but my Bilirubin always seems to run 'hot' averaging around 25 over the last 12 months. When I mentioned it to my consultant, he wasn't overly concerned saying that I may just have a high level naturally.

Difficult not to play the numbers game, I know that too well 🙂 Certainly worth running it past your Doc/Liver nurse just to allay any concerns.

I had billarubin level of over 2700.. 8 years ago, took a long time to come down! If yours is high you need to speak to docs asap

Thanks for your reply. Do you know if 28 means 2800? I asked and was told 28. Thanks
