A positive feel today

hi all you lovely people, well I am so proud of myself, I sorted out my bedroom wardrobes today (full of clothes too small, clothes too big, clothes new with tags) the clothes that are too small ( I used to wear them at my lower weight) are now in my wardrobe as I am more into that size now or heading that way, the clothes that are now too big (they are always kept because they fit, then they are too big, then they fit again as my weight goes up and down) I bagged the whole lot up and dumped them, no way will I ever go back to that size again , I intend to keep dropping and then keeping the weight off this time, I have never felt so determined, I looked at the clothes and thought, being that size caused most of my issues, so never again….. it felt good to get rid of them, I feel excited about losing more weight and wearing the smaller clothes especially the new tagged ones, I had Alexa playing 60’s music, my favourite era and was dancing away at the same time, today has been a good day, hope you all had a nice day too, take care and enjoy your evening xx

Well done. I really need to sort my wardrobe. I opened wardrobe door yesterday then closed it again 🤣like you some to big. Some to small and plenty with tags still on. I know what I'm like... I think I keep that as I might wear it.

Wonderful sophia.. sorry I'm late replying moved home today .hectic ..no broadband till Monday so using mobile data Glad it's all done and dusted .

Yes I usually have a good declutter maybe twice a year ,really helps with anxiety levels and mental health.

Your so right in saying that.. we can't change what we are living with but can change how we deal with it.

Love linda x x

I already pitched all of my old clothes. Extreme makeover middle class edition. Lol.

Way to go Sophia! Keep doing small positive things for yourself They add up ! 😀

I recently saw a motivational speaker. Was truly moving. He had lost both hands in an accident. He said that the key he has found to success is 1) take small steps towards goals. 2) Don’t give up. 3) Adapt - keep living your life

I hope everyone has a fabulous rest of the weekend!

Gosh, a month already. You are doing so well and will be inspirational to others awaiting transplant. It’s great to have you back on here and hearing how you are getting on with life. Well done to you - and your wife too.

Hi Dave

As Latanya says - wow a month already - brilliant. Having a clear out is a great idea but please remember the warning about not overdoing anything for at least six months including no hoovering 😀.

Speaking from my own experience I thought I was “king of the castle”, overdid it and four years later after two operations and a large piece of inserted mesh I’m still reaping the rewards 🫤 of not being careful.

Take it easy Dave.

oh wow Dave, a month good for you, how are you doing? , how do you feel compared to how you did feel? I kvow you are still early days but sounds like you are good from the posts I have seen, now the deal is ( tell your wife to hold you to this lol) you sort out all those bigger clothes as you won’t need them again, then the extra space in your wardrobe can be used to house a new wardrobe for your wonderful wife, who has looked after you and cooked those lovely meals for you lol, seriously though I am so pleased to hear you are now on a new road for a new healthy life together, big hugs to you both my lovely xx

Thank you Sophia , I truly feel great so much better than before and the lack of pain is incredible. I’m on no pain meds, I feel warm as beforehand I was so cold all the time. I do have to concentrate on standing up right when walking just to stretch just a little but that’s the only problem I have 🤷🏻‍♂️😃. 💕💕

Stay safe All

Sophia1968 in reply toredpoint72

noooo, I can’t think of anything worse than sorting out the garage, now I totally get why men don’t like wardrobe sort outs, you prefer the garage, I guess that makes us even then lol, thank you sweetie, I do feel more upbeat, I do have a few little niggles which I’m trying to push back and ignore haha, happy tidying , take care 😘xx

Sophia1968 in reply toReadlots

thank you sweetie, I should have done it today instead, it’s raining here in Kent, yesterday was a nice day so wasted it really, then again the nice weather and music together helped, not sure I would be in the mood when it’s like this xx

Good morning Sophia. Similar here. Old clothes out!! Spring on the way and the decompensated liver is behaving. Recent bloods indicate that things should not get worse. Possibly even improve towards compensation. It’s a new life but a long road and having the help and support of our family has been so important. Especially our daughter who has been fantastic.

Waiting for weight loss to stabilise (down some 4 stone so far) and endoscopy for varices investigation. Fingers crossed on that one.

oh bless you hun, well done on your weight loss, and for heading in the right direction towards compensated , I agree friends and family including this site have all been amazing and is the support we need, you sound very positive and that in itself is a really good thing and will help you, good luck going forward and enjoy getting a new wardrobe, let’s face it we need to fill the new space after all lol xx
