Hi Maco.
It can’t be measured with your typical blood pressure arm device from my understanding. I wish it could.
It is hypertension in the portal vein which runs through the liver. Damage or inflammation to the liver causes it
There is a medical way to monitor it I believe that is not typically done (it might be invasive or just impractical?).
If you’re not sure, it’s best to err on the side of caution especially since it’s hard to determine the status of it. Low sodium is recommended and good for you no matter what your health status. Many people take diuretics or beta blockers. I’d get a doctor to advise
If anyone knows more, please jump in.
Thanks!
No.
But if you BP is not in the normal range get a Dr's advice.
Thanks for the reply
Hello maco100In the nicest possible way I'm worried that you are using this forum to validate your fears, and concerned it will only make you feel more frustrated or anxious than ever. None of us on here are professionally capable of diagnosing you - and even if one of us said 'yep, I agree, you definitely have Liver disease ' it wouldn't make any difference - you would still need your GP to agree. I don't wish to cause any offence - just wondering for your sake whether all these questions you are asking are actually helping you?
Wishng you all the best
Xx
