High albumin?

What could cause slightly high albumin in blood? Just had some blood tests done and this was the only thing out of range. When I Google it, I only find dehydration as a possible cause. I drink a ton of water so this seems very unlikely to me. My past levels have always been within range. The doctor didn’t comment on the albumin and just said everything looked fine. So I guess he isn’t worried. Just wondering what might cause this since things haven’t ever been out of range in the past.

Elevated levels of albumin in the blood usually indicate dehydration. Diarrhea or constipation can lead to moderate fluctuations in blood albumin. Oral contraceptive use may also be a known cause. It cannot be ruled out that this may be due to a laboratory error.
