Hi all, I read from afar,7 months ago I was told I had decompensated cirrhosis, and most likely have to have a transplant, was waiting to see new consultant, expecting to be told this, got 2 hernias which they won't operate on,lots of swelling around tummy and legs, varies and portal hype tension, but after ultrasound scan and blood tests,he was pleased to see me and said that my liver had gone back to compensated, and although it's still not even close to being right, looking better than it was.so no need to rush assessment for transplant, but said that it could change in just a few weeks, will never go away but he is going to be watching, booking more scans and going to be monitoring my liver,I'm exhausted from it all, constantly tired, can't walk or stand very long, but relieved by this appointment, had more information about what is happening to me than I have had in 2 and half years, not out of the woods by any means but so glad that it's kinda fighting back, lost over 5 stone in very short time after putting on around 3 stone very quickly, lost most of the muscles I had, but said probably most of it was fluid plus my changes in my diet, I said that half the time I don't feel like eating anything, most things taste of nothing,or just run straight through me, even though tests showed nothing wrong... sorry for rambling on,I'm pleased and relieved but also confused, the body is an amazing thing, take care all
