Cuts and bruising

Do cuts stop bleeding with cirrhosis of the liver, and do they heal quick.

in short, it depends what your blood results are. If you're platelets are low, you can bleed for a long time, but it does stop (obviously) and takes a long time to heal sometimes.

looking back through your posts, you seem terribly anxious about your health. You need to trust your Dr's a bit more, at the end of the day, if you do end up with serious health diagnosis you will have to work closely with them. As it stands, you look quite fortunate to have no obvious test results indicating this - you should try to relax and enjoy this!

Well done for abstaining from alcohol. Maybe you have used this as a crutch in the past for your anxiety, and could do with some medication from your GP to help for this?

I had a LFT last week, which came back normal, but I feel sick all the time and muscle pains and stomach cramps and Headaches and neck and right shoulder pain and feel weak and have what looks like palmar erythema on my hands and some spider veins on my chest.

Good news on the LFts then, and good that your Dr is keeping an eye on it all. My husband has decompensated cirrhosis. Although he is obviously quite poorly, we try not to focus on his symptoms and enjoy life as best as we can. No-one ever knows what is round the corner, we proved this in the most unhappy circumstances. Our experience has made my husband try to live each day, one day at a time. I'm not quite as good as him because I'm more of a worrier, but I can see the wisdom in his methods! One nurse told us " when you hear hooves, try not to see Zebras!" - it's so easy to worry every ache and pain is something Liver related, Im most guilty of that.

Keep off the toxins and keep an eye on your bloods, and try to enjoy life!

I get really bad acid reflux and back pain in the middle of my shoulders blades, food seems to get stuck in my esophagus. I paid for a ct scan and a berium swallow privately in May because of the NHS problems at the moment. but my doctor won't send me for an endoscopy.

one of the things impacted by liver disease is your INR which is basically how well your blood clots. It can be normal with cirrhosis or it can be severely impacted which can cause slow healing

Low platelets can caused unexplained bruising
