Pain won’t go away

I’m here again as feel so isolated. From other posts you will see that my problem is right sided pain on waist, level with belly button but on the side of the body. Slightly comes to front slightly goes to back.

I’ve had Us. CT scans cameras in stomach Fibro scan Cap scores all saying nothing.

it started with higher than normal blood liver results.

I tried todsy to book an MRI privately but who knew you can’t! You have to ge referred. I thought if you were willing to pay that would be that.

No alcohol for 1year and 8 months. 5ft 2 and 10st 8 nearer to mid fifty than 60. Miserable as hell with constant burning, jagged, agitated pain.

Will it ever go or is this how life will be…

Has any mention been made of a potentially grumbling appendix? - area of paon sounds more akin to appendix than anything liver related especially in light of all negative liver tests.

Hi no, I think when I had CT scan they said appendix was fine. I really fail to see how so much continuous low level annoying pain can be anything to do with fatty liver or slightly raised enzymes. It does not stop me from doing anything but yet it is there all the time. Ice feels the best remedy for it like numbing it and freezing the area.

I just wish it could be diagnosed and medicated as feels like my skin is ripped and sore x

Have they checked pancreatic enzyme levels? Try to fast for a day or two. Might help and give you insight into what biological system is giving you trouble. You also might ask the doc to refer you to a gastroenterologist. Either way a specialist referral is probably the next step. It was for me. Hope that helps :)

Hi

Did you have similar pain and may I ask what yours was diagnosed as please.

A private GP charges around £100 and would refer you for a private specialist consultation and MRI if asked. Add £1000+ for that.

Private liver work up can be booked at London Royal Free for about £1000 but extra cost for MRI if they think its needed. No referral required.

But if all other tests including CT are normal then your probably wasting money

Dear Seoe
