as previously I have been for a scan that showed fatty liver and polyps in the gallbladder. I had bloods 2 weeks ago that show inflammation in my pancreas and my gp says all points to something going on in the bilary system .
Thankfully I have not had the massive pains that I had a couple of weeks ago ( that lasted for a week) but I regularly get stitch pain in both sides. My GGT has gone down from 315 to 115 and now waiting for blood tests that were completed yesterday. My alcohol consumption before this was about 10 vodkas a week if that .
My Gp has referred me to gastro at hospital and m appointment came through for jan 2023🤦♀️. I don’t know how I can wait 3 months because only eating bland food and drinking water in fear I will start inflammation again. Has anyone had anything similar to this ? Any words would of be of some comfort . Thanks in advance xxx

I have been referred for gall bladder removal and received a letter saying that I am on a waiting list for an initial consultant appointment and that there is no time scale (but looking at the waiting time website it could be 18 months). So, at the moment, a 3 month wait is quite quick.
I had gallbladder polyps, no symptoms but had urgent surgery and liver results have more or less returned to normal range. I have liver atrophy and spleen problems now but getting nowhere with my Drs.
I had abnormal liver labs and an ultrasound August 2021 which showed liver fine but echodense pancreas. I didn't have any symptoms so that test was ignored.
Then early this year I started with ongoing diarrhea everytime I ate. GI told me to drink a glass of fiber (like Metamucil) every night and take a probiotic everyday and he took bloodwork.
The labs showed mild pancreatic insufficiency but I had started taking Citrucel and a probiotic everyday so my gut got better and I didn't need to take meds.
I started exercising and losing weight on the Mediterranean diet and went back for new labs 2 weeks later. Doc says good news, you brought cholesterol, weight, and BP down, but now you have mild hypothyroidism. My TSH level was high. So I had to go back for follow up labs in 6 weeks.
Meantime after a scan I was diagnosed with F2/F3 liver fibrosis and benign polyp on gallbladder. When I went back for new labs, my TSH was just barely in normal range. So for now I was told to keep exercising and eating healthy. I go back in 6 months.
I'm sorry you're having pain. Did anyone tell you to try taking fiber and probiotic to help your gut?
