UPDATE: I had a telephone conversation with the liver consultant yesterday and for the first time I feel as if someone is listening. Gave him all the information and he wasn't happy that, with the score from the fibroscan in February, my GP did not refer me without a struggle. The figures I read out to him show F3 so I am going to have another fibroscan shortly and full blood workup, followed by a face to face appointment when the results are through. So finally moving forward, thank goodness
I posted previously that, following a fibroscan and referral, I had been given a telephone appointment with a consultant on 4th October - 6 months from referral date.
I had a letter yesterday and when I opened it the first thing I saw was "your appointment has been re-arranged", and my first thought was how much longer I would have to wait. Then saw that the appointment has actually been bought forward to mid August. So maybe the NHS is starting to get through the backlog quicker....we can but hope
