Hello all. My partner recently had a blood test and it showed elevated bilirubin about 32umol/l. Doctor says that no action is required. I am concerned why his level is so high? Other blood levels are totally fine. He follows low fat, whole grains diet.
Any ideas?

Hello,You are correct that the reading mentioned is out of range, However, bilirubin does move around quite a lot, even from day to day it can vary.
I'm guessing that everything else was normal, therefore not causing any alarm for your GP. You should discuss this further with your Dr if you don't understand his reasons for not being worried - and they should be happy to put your mind at rest.
Due to a medication mess up to clear an ongoing infection - mines currently sitting at ~450 so I think he will be ok at 30
Does he have liver disease? If so its not abnormal for it to spike every now and then, also it can just be the time of the day if slightly elevated, it does ebb and flow. The doctors look more for trends than static numbers
No he doesn't have liver disease or any disease. That level of bilirubin stay since February. I think it might be result of intensive trening and bad diet?
