The British Liver Trust has started a new online support group for people affected by Hepatic Encephalopathy (HE). This is held monthly on the online platform Zoom.

This is great news. I wish it had been available when I had HE, as information was very limited and even medical professionals were not always aware of it and it's symptoms. Prior to diagnosis by my heptologist, I was being investigated firstly for a TIA, and then when that was negative they thought it was MS, even though the neurologist was aware of my liver cirrhosis, he did not even mention that it could be HE. I found this unimaginable once I'd been diagnosed, as surely a neurologist would have been aware of something that can have such a debilitating effect on the brain function.
