Hi

I was diagnosed with cirrhosis 2 years ago and am now on the transplant list. I also have HE. I am experiencing shaking in my hands and legs which is embarrassing as look like I have DTs. Does anyone else have these symptoms and how do you manage it

Thanks

Hi Bantam, are you on both Lactulose and Rifaximin for your Hepatic Encephalopathy? Does your transplant team know that you are shaking so much?

With HE you sometimes do get asterixis / sometimes known as liver flap and this can be a tremor in your arms, hands and legs.

I'd be in touch with your doctor/medical team if they don't know about this symptom and see what they suggest.
