Still going through the process of finding out if I have cirrhosis. I have been advised that I am now going to have a trans jugular biopsy to find out once and for all, as all previous tests have been inconclusive.
Please could I have any thoughts on anyone else’s experience with the biopsy being done trans jugular.
Many thanks in advance

Hoping for the best! Hopefully it was just a bad case of alcoholic hepatitis and the fibrosis hasn't got to the stage that it can't repair. Let us know how it goes.
Hi, I had a trans jugular biopsy due to the risk of bleeding for a normal one. No problems, just lay still and let them get on with it, I had no pain during or after. Bed rest for 12 hours afterwards.Good luck
Thanks for responding, that has put my mind at ease. Been told nothing strenuous for a week after. I have arthritis, so getting about it strenuous in intself 😂
