May I draw attention to a documentary tonight on Channel 4 in which the singer, Will Young, describes how he cared for his alcoholic twin brother for four years until his death.

I think it will resonate with quite a few members here as it does for me. My son died three years ago aged 43, (at that point in remission from his alcoholism) from an accidental overdose of various drugs in his search for relief from his insomnia, depression and panic attacks brought on by his (mis)use of alcohol.

One of Will's main points is the lack of proper mental health care for sufferers though I must add my son had a good deal of help from Frameworks in Nottingham after his first hospitalisation four years before.

Thank you, this is incredibly insightful, I think all society should watch this regardless of whether they're affected by this illness or not!
