Hi I need some help. I went through the symptoms for approx 5 months. Starting with been unwell, fatigue, weakness etc. Seemed to be in stages. Good n bad days. Then odd bad day, then dreadful at the end .the felt back to normal at 5 months. Stupidly I thought my liver had repaired so launched another attack on it,. Everything started up again. It's been 2 years and 3 months now. Up n down with it again. Last weekend I felt dreadful again. Does anyone know if I will be at the end stage again? If so does anyone know how much longer it might take. I've no normal life at min. And very sad

I’m sorry Chris. There’s a reason they say 9 out of 10 people who have liver damage continue drinking. It’s because it’s a terrible addiction. I’m fortunate that once I was told I had damaged my liver I quit and haven’t touched it. The hospital helped me. Reach out for help. I’m pulling for you my liver friend. Be that 1 out of 10 with me and call that number.

Hi I think people are getting it wrong. I had a swollen liver n scarred. I started with a bunch of symptoms at the beginning of my journey. I was told I would feel ill for approx 6 to 7 months. The symptoms came in stages. Started off feeling dreadful. Then 2 months in I felt well for a week or so. Then symptoms came back but now was odd days I felt unwell. That lasted 2 months. Then right at the very end symptoms came on but this time came n faded. Then worst bit was the very end where the symptoms came on fading again. But this time alot stronger. This lasted a few days n symptoms faded away n boom bk to normal. Stupidly I thought I'd repaired so launched another attack on it. Just a few drinks n boom all symptoms came back. But this time it's took 2 years n 4 months. I'm at the last bit now. 6 days into the fading bit. All the stages take longer if u do it again. I reckon another week n I will be back to normal. All I can say is it's a hurredous way to live. So hope someone reads this and doesn't make the same mistake as me. If you go through it for the first time then don't drink, smoke or drugs. Keep anything toxic out of your body. And I mean anything. Going through it for the second time is hurrific. It's along time to be unwell with symptoms 2 years n 4 month. Luckily I've made it through just about. Not been able to work tho as a result. All the best to all
