Morning all just a quick question , ive had a fibroscan back in january and my result was 11.something and was told im in f3 bracket ,if my bloods are normal no raised alt etc does this mean that my liver is starting to repair its self id rather ask on here than go googling it .

It is a good sign for sure. But I think if fatty liver it is better to use Fib-4 score.

About fibroscan please do not rely on it indiscriminately. It is always an estimation. For example you wrote you went from F2 to F3 within 12 months. Not sure if that quick progress is possible with only fatty liver. Please check this with your hepatologist.

Thank you for your reply, they have said fatty liver as im not a drinker ,iv gone from a person who never had any health problems to having my gallbladder removed and having high blood pressure ,menopause,liver bloods all over the place then f3 in the last 4 years🙈 , ive got my appointment with liver consulant in april so il see what they come up with 😊

Drinking is not the only path to more serious damage than fatty liver unfortunately. But if that's the official diagnosis then happy days, you can beat it :)
