Question on CDT test for DVLA. I didn't drink alcohol for a year, but on January 14 I drank 6 beers. After a week, I got a call for a Cdt test on February 1. The question now is whether a single drink after such a period of abstinence will worsen my CDT result
CDT test: Question on CDT test for DVLA... - British Liver Trust
CDT test
I had this test last year and boy did I worry I also asked for advice on this platform (there is information on DVLA website)Are you saying you had 6 drinks in January only and had your CDT test on 1st Feb? ☺️
I drank 6 beers on January 14th. And on February 1, I had a CDT test. Something I'm afraid I will not pass
I can understand your worries and Katie is right, I worried and have been T total since 2017, in my opinion and it is an opinion I think you will be fine but whatever the outcome you can't do anything about it now I'm afraid but please let us know how it went as this will help other people good luck X
CDT Test (carbohydrate deficient transferrin) is a blood test used to check if a person has been drinking large amounts of alcohol over the previous 7-14 days. A CDT test is used by the DVLA when a person applies for their driving license to be reinstated. The DVLA accepts a CDT cut-off level of ≤ 2.2 %.
6 beers is more than a single drink but whether or not this will impact your CDT result I don't think anyone here is qualified to say.
