Jaundice that comes in the morning and fades during the day?
Impossible to tell. You will need your Doc to take a look. Be honest with him about your drinking so he can get a full picture to reach a correct diagnosis. Good luck
Jaundice doesn't come and go that quickly. In acute liver failure the onset of jaundice can seem rapid but the breakdown and removal of the bilirubin and bile salts deposited in the skin is often very slow. In other words, the reabsorption of jaundice is a much more gradual process and certainly not a daily occurrence.
Peripheral oedema (swelling in legs and feet) can involve changes in skin pigment . Of course, none of us know what's causing what you describe.
As Laura says, if you've concerns, do please see your Dr as your drinking appears to be at unhealthy levels.
Best
Chris
As the members have mentioned on this thread already, only a doctor can assess you.
Here is the NHS page on jaundice
I had some mild Jaundice once, yellow tinge in the morning and it was gone by the afternoon. I had Gastritis.
