Yes let them know everything, it could be to do with so many things. You need to liaise with your consultant.Did you get a final diagnosis by the way?

Wasn't it non alcoholic fatty liver disease? Eating on the run... sorry I'm trying to remember...

Grabbing things at work

Kind of remember....... Dan x

Ive been told its nafld and yes eating on the run lol ,but ive been better with my eating and my work colleges are great , i have to say my gp receptionist have been great as i rung them last week with my concerns they told me to call up yesterday im booked in for full bloods next week as its been a 12month since my last lot of bloods (shortage of blood tubes havnt helped) plus they have a copy of my results from recent fibroscan so this will help and i have my appointment in april with my liver consultant .😊

Now you have been diagnosed Nala, the test viles shouldn't be a issue with your condition. They can't say this to you it's a duty of care. I had a blood test first thing in hospital today and they hadn't done all the tests required, so I had to have another one, 7 viles in total. We need testing....🧐. Looking like you are on the ball and dealing with your condition very positive and strong... keep that attitude and try to get a few smile's in it goes a long way...😏.

Hi yes. I was put on atorvastatin about 15 years ago due to nafld. Couple of years later I was put on ramipril too. I also have a feno fibrate and amlodipine too. Been talking all over 12 years now. Started in my 30s and now 54.

Hi so maybe its ok to take and doesnt affect the liver then thats all my concerns are as my bloodpressure is steady on these meds and works well .

Obviously you need to be guided by your doctor and they will keep regular checks on you. I saw the other comments about bloods. In the early days I was tested every 3 months, then every 6 and then after a couple of years I was allowed to go yearly. I recently had some and that was the first time in 18 months due to pandemic. My ALT is usually double what it should be around 70/80 which is stable for me. My last result was 116 so I’ve got to speak to doctor again. But better than over 200 when first found. I’m on 10mg of ramipril. Originally on 5mg. My BP is spot on now. I think age doesn’t help! I have a machine at home and test regularly. I have other conditions too so take 28 tablets a day in total. I rattle!

Hi im 2.5mg i wasnt on anything until i had problems with my gallbladder 5 years ago never had a problems with bloodpressure nothing then i went for my premeds to have my gallbladder out and my bloodpressure was sky high so 3-4 years ago i started on my tablets and was told id be on them for life ,and ever since im going downhill as they say one thing after another lol, im the same as you no bloods taken for 12 months i and i used to have them done regular but as you see in my earlier post im booked in to have them all done next plus my sugar ones as they said im prediabetic aswell so hopfully see how things are going .

We're like twins! I have bile acid malabsorption due to gallbladder issues (although I still have my gallbladder) so take colesevelam for that. I was pre-diabetic for years and then about 4 years ago tipped over into it, so now take metformin and gliclazide. Told you, I rattle!

Hi Nala,

I took blood pressure meds, ramipril, whilst having liver cirrhosis. The docs weren't particularly concerned about it with me.

Definitely do question it it's right to try and rule out certain things especially if you have just started taking them I've been on mine for years and my Lft have been up and down I've had a few relapses drink ways I was at hospital the other night with muscle spasms and cramps in and around my heart I had to get out of work panicked me a bit I had bloods done last week and again at the hospital my Lft was over 100 but the doctor said she is not concerned about my liver in the end it was down to low potassium causing shortage of breath I have asthma which doesn't help lol and labouring 12 hours a day is tough at my age lol I've to go for more bloods tomorrow they just want to keep an eye on it well that's a bit about me sorry for the rant lol hopefully you get to the bottom of your situation goodluck and Godbless πŸ‘

Hi i hope you get sorted ,i see what they say next week at my bloods apointment ..

Before I was taken to A&E last year, I used to take Ramipril and Amlodipine. Consultant told me they were stopping them immediately and I should only take the Spironolactone. Never had a blood pressure problem since, but there could be multiple reasons for that e.g., I no longer work 16 to 18 hour days and neither do I live on Aeroplanes or in Hotels. Interesting.

Nalabananaβ€’ in reply to

Thanks for the reply il see what they say next week ..

I take 10mg of Ramipril daily. I asked my doctor if I should stop because of the Liver diagnosis and she said it was much worse if I came off them for what little benefit it would have on my liver.
