People with cirrhosis, and end-stage liver disease have to take certain medication to help control their condition. While Lactulose may help prevent further damage, it can be a cause of alot of embarrassment for some people as they may find that the need to go to the toilet more frequently.
This can happen to those who happen to be out and about, and may find themselves cut short, and in urgent need of a toilet.
Many offices and private places may not allow someone to use a toilet even if it is an emergency. For those who find themselves in this position, then a "Just Can't Wait" card, or phone app might help ( I still have one).
It can be of help as just showing this card can be a discreet way of explaining your prodigament without feeling embarrassed: bladderandbowel.org/help-in...
Also a RADAR key may also be of help as many local council public toilets need one for access to the disabled toilet. It should be noted that not all disabilities are visible, and the lack of bowel control maybe see as being a disability.
This is just for information, as this is a subject that many people may suffer with and don't like to talk about it. I hope this helps.
