Just Can't Wait

People with cirrhosis, and end-stage liver disease have to take certain medication to help control their condition. While Lactulose may help prevent further damage, it can be a cause of alot of embarrassment for some people as they may find that the need to go to the toilet more frequently.

This can happen to those who happen to be out and about, and may find themselves cut short, and in urgent need of a toilet.

Many offices and private places may not allow someone to use a toilet even if it is an emergency. For those who find themselves in this position, then a "Just Can't Wait" card, or phone app might help ( I still have one).

It can be of help as just showing this card can be a discreet way of explaining your prodigament without feeling embarrassed: bladderandbowel.org/help-in...

Also a RADAR key may also be of help as many local council public toilets need one for access to the disabled toilet. It should be noted that not all disabilities are visible, and the lack of bowel control maybe see as being a disability.

This is just for information, as this is a subject that many people may suffer with and don't like to talk about it. I hope this helps.

Good to share this again Richard for the 'newbies'. Hubby carries this and a Radar key and it has proved useful at times with the desperately, sudden need.

This is a great piece of advice and I didn't know my partner could have got one of these. It would have been a great help a few months ago when he was at his worst in that respect. I would advise sufferers and their partners to look into this as it truly could be a godsend! Thanks Richard 😊

Hi Richard

Thank you for posting this.

It's a pity that this post cannot be pinned. I think people are far more likely to be sympathetic with a card holder than someone just asking plus as you say it makes it very discreet.

Also, I always enjoy your posts. They are always helpful, informative and interesting.
