Can you get transplant on a second opinion ?

Wrong diagnosis ! My hubby got as far as going for t/p assessment which he passed, they wanted a right hand artery to heart stented then he would be listed, (this could of been done in jan when he had the angiogram ) went for it in may and they are now saying to much work to be done all 3 diceased, so no listing, went to a heart hosp for second opinion and doctor more than happy with his mri stress results, he said his heart is as good as his, also stated that in the 12 weeks between the 2 agiagram’s no way would the arteries have gone like this, he said no stenting needed, anyone else been in this situation? And where do we go from here

You are certainly entitled to ask for a second opinion at another transplant centre.

Going to speak with t/p team to see if once he received report it can be over turned, so disappointing that the cardiology team he is under has got it so wrong, but my worry is they won’t go against their own team

Hi I find it annoying when 2 + departments don't speak to each other so when you go for an appointment you have to repeat yourself again and again!! I'm going to make up a file so that when they ask me about something I can say please will you read this!!!!!

A month on we have still not had a reply from them after sending them the report on 2nd opinion, e mail sent today asking what’s happening, been the longest month ever
