Does cirrhosis cause an aggressive personality/ emotional?

There is a condition in advanced cirrhosis called Hepatic Encephalopathy which can cause severe personality changes amongst other things. It happens when toxins arn't properly removed by the damaged liver resulting in them building up in the blood stream and making their way to the brain where in effect they can cause varying degrees of brain damage.

Yes is the answer, my husband is awaiting a transplant and has aggressive moments, emotional, forgetful etc. It can also disrupt your sleeping patterns. There are drugs to help you, ask your specialist or gp. But can also be caused by anxiety in early stages. Mostly these will disappear and not cause lasting damage.
