Call one of the Gastro secretaries to find out whats happening.

Hello and welcome to this friendly forum.

It is good to hear your GP is pro active and trying to expedite the appointment. I would encourage you to continue to liaise with your GP , be sure to mention your lack of appetite and weight loss, to speed up the referral to hepaology ( liver specialists)

You could perhaps contact PALS ( Patient Advice and Liaison Service ) to see if they can prompt the appointment .

You can also call our nurse led helpline on 0800 652 7330 Mon - Fri 10am -3pm if you wish to discuss further

Take care,

Do you have gallstones? My CT scan in the past didn't say stones but I knew I had a big one which eventually made my liver enzymes rise... I had my gallbladder removed.

After my surgery in March 2021, I had pain on the right side and my surgeon also sent me first to MRI, then in June to CT scan to check for obstruction. All cleared. Nothing found. My pain is getting better so I will be doing next blood test in 2 months... will see If ggt drops. I was dealing with surgeon directly. And he reacted immediately to all my pain. May be you can do that too?

I have not seen Anybody Yet, its been 5 Weeks since I had my C/T Scan which showed the Bile Duct was swollen.GP said 2 weeks is for suspected Cancer but its know been 5 Weeks! & this timings is Unacceptable

He called to Gastro Secretary yesterday & when he is back in on Friday he will call them again then he will call me.

At moment I am recovering from Surgery as I have highest grade of pre cancer & the next stage is Invasive Cancer.

Due to see my Oncologist a week on Monday.
