If you've been alcohol free and looking after yourself and your liver then there is no reason you can't go on to live a good long life. I hope you've been getting regular scans (6 monthly) and 6 monthly bloods to keep an eye on your liver. It sounds like you've stabilized if there are no further varices.My hubby was diagnosed with decompensated cirrhosis with bleeding varices in April 2012 - still going strong today. No need to worry about these so called 'survival rates' - if you've done something about the cause of your liver damage then it can go on for many years to come.
