Melatonin.. is it safe for liver in low dose?

Hi All,

I take about 3mg of melatonin daily for a good night sleep. I have asked my family doctor and he says that it is safe even with pre-existing liver diseases. I know that I should not be putting extra burden on my liver and all that. I just wanted to know if the users have been also told the same by their doctors?

Thanks in advance!
