Second Dose of Vaccine

In Canada, because of lack of vaccine, we have a 4 month wait to get a second dose. As a cirrhosis patient, I am very nervous about

1. Not having a good immune response to the vaccine, and

2. Whether waiting this long will nullify any beneficial effects of the vaccine.

Any advice or response is welcome
