Nausea in the afternoon

Hi, this is my first post on this forum, having come across it accidentally and I would like to ask a question. I had a few bad bouts of Angina 2 1/2 years ago and ended up having 2 stents fitted as one of my coronary arteries was quite badly blocked. For quite a few years leading up to this I used to drink quite a bit, I was into home brewing and liked a few beers, shall we say along with wine. I was honest about all this when I went into hospital and was advised to cut down to the 14 a week limit along with the usual diet changes and so on, which I actually have. Now the thing is, leading up to my "episode", I used to very often feel nauseous in the afternoons, and I am not sure if this was down to the heart disease or the alcohol intake. I am just curious if this is typical of too much alcohol or if it is more linked to heart disease, which would be very worrying for me should it recur. No doctor or consultant has actually said it is typical of heart disease so I am wondering if it was more likely linked to my drinking at the time, or even any other liver associated problem due to the general effects of the heart disease? I am fine now by the way, but just like to be forearmed in case of future problems.

Hi there lateguitarist and welcome to this friendly forum. It's impossible to say what is causing your nausea - it could be cardiac, it could be related to your medication, it could be related to your drinking or maybe something entirely unrelated! Unfortunately as no one is medically trained on the forum, we won't be able to diagnose you. Thanks for your reply but I don't think you have actually read my question properly. I am not suffering from nausea now I was merely wondering if it is typical of liver problems particularly alcohol related, I am not looking for a diagnosis why do you think I am?
