Has anyone ever had tongue issues that were connected to their liver disease? I'm not finding much out one way or the other on it. I just recently noticed my tongue seems more dark red and swollen than normal, and it says it's most likely a B vitamin deficiency. I admit my diet has been terrible the last month or two and I haven't been taking my vitamins. I've restarted that and hopefully that helps, but I can't help but also wonder if there is a liver connection. Perhaps having liver issues means I should take vitamins more regularly or work much better on diet?

Tongue issues in liver disease?
Never noticed any problems with my tongue. Had liver disease for many years.
Taking vitamins might be a waste of money and also could cause you problems. Some vitamins like Vit C are water soluble and the excess your body doesn't use will be excreted from your body. Other vitamins are fat soluble and the excess will be stored. This could cause you problems. It would be far better to stop googling ; many of Dr Googles posts are misleading and cause unnecessary anxiety. You should be able to get all the necessary vitamins from a good diet.
Also, you would be far better asking your doc to assess you for vitamin deficiencies, they will know what are the telltale signs. If they feel there is enough evidence to warrant it, they may order a blood test but..... there needs to be evidence.
Good luck & spend more time looking at improving your diet.👍
Yes, my tongue is a bit orange.
