My husband was diagnosed with decompensated cirrhosis six months ago, with ascites, HE and varices. Obviously he should be shielding now but we still haven't had a letter to say he's clinically extremely vulnerable. As this would move him up the list for the vaccine should we ring the GP or the hepatology department? Any advice much appreciated.

We will be updating the website with the new information soon;
britishlivertrust.org.uk/ne...
In the meantime we would suggest your husband speaks to his own specialist ASAP to clarify he is on the shielding list.
Best wishes.

Many thanks
My husband was similar to yours and also wasn't put on the list until we contacted his GP who arranged it.
