Husband in denial

My husband was diagnosed in March 2019 with cirrhosis (non alcohol) and since having an initial ct scan when stage 4 liver disease was diagnosed, he has not been back to the Hospital! He has been in denial believing he is going to get better and refuses to go to the hospital for scans or anything which is very frustrating for me as I want to know what stage we are at. He is going downhill now and sleeps an awful lot. However the GP now wants him to have a ct scan of the brain as she thinks he may have had a stroke as he now leans over to the right when sitting and he is getting confused. He has agreed to have this scan and an appointment has been made for tomorrow. Hopefully the scan will tell us something!!

Thank goodness he has agreed to have the scan. Let us know how you both get on. All the best

Do they know what caused his cirrhosis?

A combination of drugs he has been on for a long time, in particular Naproxen.

Ok, just that whenever I hear of non alcoholic cirrhosis, I always wonder about Haemochromatosis as it can often go undiagnosed.

I hope the doctors will be able to help thank goodness he is having a scan. He should be getting them regularly to monitor his condition.
