Hi! I had my ultrasound results well they lady told me stuff while doing it. Rang doctor today and nurse rang me back said the gp has said to send me for ct scan as my bile duct is larger than normal.
Now I’m Freaking out 😩😩 why are they sending me for a ct scan ? I’m petrified

The bile duct can be enlarged for many different reasons. You could consider calling the surgery back and ask to speak to a GP and request they talk you through the ultrasound report and exactly what was seen. They are best placed to do this as they have access to your medical records and reason whey you were referred for the ultrasound scan.

I’ve rang back and said she’s busy so will get them to ring Boxing Day. The woman said to see if there is infection or a gallstone that’s all she said 😫
