Primary biliary cholangitis
My PBC was diagnosed with only blood tests. All my results were high, but it was the raised ALP and positive AMA (any amount is positive) that gave a definite diagnosis.
Question am I reading this correctly? What is the reference range for this test, may I ask what your numbers were?
My ALP was 800 (max around 150), ALT 350 (max 100 or so) and bilirubin 46 (max about 20). My GGT, IgM and IgG were also flagged as above max but I don't remember the numbers. Do you know your ALP level?
I wasn't told my AMA level, just that any measurable amount is a positive result and mine was positive. I think <0.1 units was a negative result and <0.9 units was a weak positive but I'm not sure on that.
I would ring your doctor to ask for clarification. Have you been put on urso?
