Ok now I’m frightened again 😢, my doctors just called and a blood test I had two weeks ago is not normal for liver function. Everything was raised ALT and AST way above normal.
My ultrasound was clear of even fatty liver and I’m just awaiting results of CT with contrast so hoping that also looks clear. All the things that are sent to try us!!
Not a drop since 8th August 2019!! It has to be something to do with gallstones (I hope) although I haven’t got pain anymore and think I’ve passed the stones. I have to go back for yet another blood test, about the 7th in 6 months ... madness.
Hey don’t you be getting yourself frightened you’ve been giving me the good advice 😌. Could it be through the gallstones that’s those levels are high. My ALT was also high. I don’t think the AST was even checked.
What did the dr say or are they just going to wait on the ct
I was going to message you later to say good luck for tomorrow 💖. Yes I hope it’s gallstones. I really need the CT results ASAP, still not had them. Remember we were talking about getting anything urgent quick?, well these blood tests we’re done what a couple of weeks ago, and a doctor only just looked at them today!!!. He said I need another blood test ASAP and said my liver test is showing that something is damaging the liver...everything deranged on test And AST/ALT very high. I knew I felt extremely ill when I had the test and my stool was white, urine was like orange dye. It’s normal again now though.
I’m surprised that my consultant who organised this test hasn’t communicated it to me... I think I’m annoyed at being left like this for months... it’s just not right. I’ve had to fight for my life and only when I said I couldn’t eat and had lost 6 stone did they finally organise the CT.
Guess I’ll have to chase for the CT results yet again tomorrow and get this new blood test done and see where it goes. Sounds daft but I feel like they may think I’m a hypochondriac keep chasing 🤦🏻♀️.
Anyway enough about me!... hope you are feeling ok! What time is your CT tomorrow?x
Your doctors don’t sound the best. Saying that I see my blood test online and it took over a week for them to call me to tell me about the ALT which I already knew about. The gp I work with works very different. Anything seriously out of range will get dealt with within a day or max 2. That’s why I was freaked out when my ultrasound came back so quick and my gp did actually ring me straight away.
Sorry to interrupt but if just like to wish you good luck tomorrow (, today really) I hope everything goes well and you ft have to wait long for your results.
My consultant has been on holiday and is Until next week which is why neither my blood test or CT have been looked at... unbelievable!!. CT results are there but secretary can’t tell me anything 😤 x
Oh wow. So everybody has got to go on hold. How bloody annoying. Why can’t they give the info to another dr. You could try asking the go reception to call radiology and get a copy of the report.
Yep put on hold. The secretary has emailed the consultant as he may look at his email at home and get back to her but she couldn’t guarantee. She also said another consultant might be able to look but they are busy operating. She also said she may send it to a doctor at my practice but they are not the experts. She didn’t even know my blood test was bad as it doesn’t say anything on their system because they haven’t looked at the results yet!!!
Hi
I would just like to say I hope you get some answers soon. We have to do a lot of fighting to be heard sometimes.
I have this week finally got the results. I have chronic and acute cholecystis....chronic infection of the gallbladder and large gallstones. I get my new blood test results on Monday, hoping my liver results may have settled and the gallbladder caused deranged enymes etc. As for pain, thankfully settled at the moment...Just waiting for the operation now x
