Follow up with nurse practitioner tomorrow

I have an appointment tomorrow & I’m kinda of nervous,

What should I expect to happen tomorrow? Also What questions should I ask my nurse. Every time I go I freeze and go blank any recommendations?

Hi Abrielle. There is no need to be nervous the appointment has been made to help you. If you have any questions in your head between now and then, write them on a note pad and take it with you. You will probably be given a fair bit of information so if you dont understand any part of what you are told ask again what it means. The more interest you show regarding your condition the more info you will recieve from them and they will appreciate your interest. It would also be of great advantage to you to have a friend or family member with you, that 2nd pair of ears is always an added benefit. Make sure you are completely honest about your lifestyle, diet and alcohol consumption. The more they are aware of, the more help you will receive to make any necessary changes.

Thank you, I do write questions down but like you said two heads are better than one. So I ask what other things should I probably ask. I am very honest about everything also I hadn’t had a drink since last year when I found out I had cirrhosis. Just looking for ways to better my condition now.
