I had a liver biopsy just over a week ago. Over the last couple of days I have been very uncomfortable(not exactly pain) inside- all round the rib cage area. Does anyone know if this is usual? Or should I seek medical assistance? I don’t like to unnecessarily bother doctors.

Our forum members report varying timescales for recovery from liver biopsy, but you would not be 'unnecesarily bothering the doctors' and I suggest you discuss it with them, if for no other reason than to have peace of mind.
Hi. You have had the equivalent of a nine inch very sharp needle stab you right into your liver. There are risks with biopsy’s. I would be glad I am alive and just getting the side effects you are. Take care
Please don't be put off posting on what is 'usually' a very supportive forum. Not a particularly helpful comment you got there.
Hopefully your tenderness after biopsy is gradually going off, people recover at different paces and it is an invasive procedure so can cause some folks more issue than others.
He got stabbed. I didn’t realise he was so sensitive so I will watch my replies in future! We are a helpful bunch but there’s no need to be making remarks when answering the post.
Sorry if I upset you, I apologise. Your doctor should have let you know about such an invasive procedure and the tenderness that follows. I am too blunt sometimes, it really is a nice bunch on here.
