Hello everyone,
Since 3-4 years, my daughter used to get severe vomiting, sometimes twice a year or maybe thrice and then she would be ok. I assumed that it’s something she ate/ bacterial / viral , as it would get better in a day or 2. However ever since this year started, she had these episodes many times and they would get better ... but all of a sudden she also started suffering from nausea and appetite loss constantly and lost a lot of weight.
I took her to the doctor and we did a Complete blood count and liver function test.
I’m concerned about the liver function test as Total bilirubin is 1.4, direct bilirubin is 0.5 and indirect bilirubin is 0.9. These are all higher than usual.
Meanwhile serum gamma, AST, ALT, ALK Phosphatase are all within normal ranges.
Blood count is all within normal range, besides eosinophils which are 9.1 percent (normal range 0.3-7.4).
I will be going to the GP to show the reports but wanted to ask if anyone has an opinion as to why the bilirubin levels are higher than normal and why she keeps getting sick with vomiting and nausea?
Thank you
