I've read various posts that refer to different results/values that they have relating to their liver disease. I was diagnosed recently with cirrhosis, told not to drink alcohol anymore and reduce weight, but thats it. No reference to any values or test metrics that I could monitor as to whether my condition improves or detrioriates in the future. No report of the various ultrasounds and CT scans that I've had. Next appointment isn't due for 6 months which surprises me, is that a good thing and what metrics should I be asking about - does anyone know?

Hi Piano,

If you are in the UK, you can use the Patient Access app to view all your test results and consultation reports. You have to request this from your GP, and in my case, ask for results to be available for you to view.

You have a right to view your medical record, so don't be fobbed off.

You could also ask for the information from your GP practice, but the app will give you permanent access to your records.

Hope this helps,

David
