Just came back from the doctor. My alt level went from 17 in 2017 to 102 last week. Anyone have a similar situation. She is sending me for the full liver tests now

Hi michpaq
The responses by Edward and Trust9 to your previous post still apply.
We can’t give you answers I’m afraid and strictly speaking actual test data result values should not be posted. I know that that’s being pedantic maybe but it is the guidelines for this forum and in all cases you need your Consultant or GP (if you are lucky enough to have a GP who can fully interpret liver data!) to tell you what is going on.
You can always use simple terminology like high, very high, low,, etc... sorry - that is not meant to be condescending but does appear to be the more acceptable way to express things on here!!
Good luck in getting the answers to your questions which you should be given otherwise what is the point of telling you these detailed numbers? I never got told one single number until one week before my transplant. Did I care - No! Should I have - hmm don’t know, but it would not have made the slightest difference to the outcome - for me, anyway.

Good morning Michpaq,
I can appreciate that you are worried and I am glad you are having further tests and as previoulsy stated -
We are unable to comment on an individuals blood test due to varying reference ranges.
A single blood test does not really help in making a diagnosis. A series of tests along with clinical examination and history taking will be more useful.
A positive lifestyle with minimal alcohol, healthy diet and exercise is best for long term liver health.
I have included a link to Liver Disease Tests explained for your information.
