Today's look

Good Morning

Today's look is no make-up, hair not brushed, teeth not brushed, wrinkled clothes, holey socks, scruffy shoes, no deodorant and definitely no perfume !!

Why ?

Because after 5 months of waiting and 4 cancelled appointments, I am finally off to my Capability for Work Assessment.

Actually I am still keen to rejoin the workforce but it has to be on my terms, possibly with flexible hours and an easy commute.

So in the meantime I have to adopt my best bag lady look to convince the powers that be that I have a chronic illness.

Sorry for the cynical post but its how I feel as I hide on the back seat of the bus....

So sad that in order to get the support you are entitled to as a sick person that you need to resort to this!!

The government should be ashamed at how they treat genuine sick people in this country that get treated as if they are dirt and are often made to feel that they are not entitled to any financial support!

You read cases often of how some very sick people have had their benifits cut or stopped and in some cases driven people to suicide!

Shame on them for this appalling treatment to the very sick people in this country..most that have worked all their life and paid their taxes to be treated like this!

Good luck with your assessment !

Mirror mirror on the wall. Good luck.😇

This isnt even for PIP. I thought that was a lost cause. This is for my measly £21.70 a week ESA which is drastically reduced as I have a personal pension after working full-time for 41 years. I am in town now and homeless people are offering me money 😂😂😂

Omg , I remember now , this is where they lost your paperwork, good grief !! You couldnt make it up could you 🙄🥴🥴😳!! .X

Hi

It's terrible how you are made to feel.

In our local paper a gentleman wrote that he'd had to go to the dole office for his daughter as she was in a coma, they still insisted that she should keep her appointment!! She lost her money for that month and if it hadn't been put in the paper she would never have received it!!

What planet are the powers that be in?? If it had been a member of their family this wouldn't have happened!! Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

My blood boils when I hear about things like this!

It's appalling! !! I sadly have a long list of illnesses and still being diagnosed with more not ok to work again until stabilised blood results ok and meds sorted BUT the DWP seem to think that I am making it up. It's all a joke but people that have the nerve to blag get loads of stuff! ! Wrong. I seriously want to go back to work i really miss it!
